Our characters awake in the middle of a forest with no recollection of how they got there. The last thing they remember was their own deaths than darkness... Now they are left alone with only clues left by an unseen, mysterious force leading them to who-knows-where through a stitched and patched world. What will they find at the end of their journey? Only the ominous force showing they're destined path knows...
I'm planning this RP to go through various animes. Characters can be human or Mamono. Said characters can originate anywhere from the past to the present time but not beyond that. Characters also may not have any special abilities. This also includes Mamono to an extent. If you intend to be a Mamono than just ask if your chosen Mamono is alright to use. Characters will pick up items and abilities later on in the RP. Chosen animes also might be altered to better fit the story of the RP. Simple character sheet below
A man lying face down on the ground would slowly get up. Once kneeling he'd rub his forehead, a loud ringing sound would vibrate through his ears and slowly go away. Though, the crushing pain in his head would remain. "What... Where the hell..." He thought as he looked around the forest he found himself in.
Levitas noticed many things upon entering the waking world. The first was a lack of tiredness, flying was tiring, and she was almost always doing it. They second was a distinct lack of other monsters. Where was the Weresheep who fed her, where was the Cyclops who always repaired her breastplate?
The final, and most confounding, was the terrain she was in. She last recalled... A town, or maybe very small city, and not some forest.
The man would quickly find an old, rolled up piece of paper next to him. Looked to be a map. That was quickly swept aside as he noticed the giant, scaled creature nearby. He'd quickly get to his feet and place a hand on his katana.
"What kind of beast is that!? Is... Is it a Dragon!?" He thought as he stared with a stunned expression.
Without any more thoughts on her current circumstances Levitas slowly got up. She yawned and looked around. Her gaze lands upon the human and she can't help but feel a pang of hunger. He looked to be Zipanguan, and those humans always tasted the best.
He'd grip his katana harder. He didn't know what to do if it attacked but he sure as hell wasn't going down without a fight. As the atmosphere between the two became more and more tense, an intense, sudden pain would erupt from both of their heads that would stun even the mightiest of heroes and beasts. The man would let go of his katana, drop to his knees and hold his head as he let out a pained yell.
Another man would slowly open his eyes not far from the two. He seemed geared for a war. A modern war at that, but not too modern. A loud groan escaped his mouth as he sat up. From the feel of the ground, it dawned on him that something wasn't as he remembered. Something was wrong. Attempting to grab his nearby rifle, he quickly learned that there was no point. It was in two. Resorting to the next best thing, he pulled out his sidearm, a pistol, and checked the magazine. One bullet. Although he wasn't happy about it, one bullet was all he had to rely on.
The pain within their heads would slowly fade. Once gone the man would stand back up and look around, spotting the man. The only thing he could muster to say was. "Where the hell are we!?" He said, reaching up and rubbing his forehead.
(To make things a bit more flexible, could Levitas have a human form or a half human and half Dragon form? This is not making her a Mamono but just to make this her character a bit easier to work with.)
Hearing a voice, the man on the floor slowly stood, looking for the owner of the voice. It did not sound familiar, which only made him worry more. "I don't know!" He answered, aiming his sidearm at the strange man. His hands were twitching, ruining his aim. Being in enemy territory, or so he assumed, put him at a major disadvantage. The thought of demis rested on his shoulders as he attempted to take in his surroundings whilst keeping an eye on the man.
Diverting his eyes off the man to wherever he was looking, it didn't take long to realize what the issue was. "Holy christ!" He shouted, pointing his sidearm at it. Not that it would be very effective, just to make himself feel better. Whatever that was worth.
(I would imagine it would make more sense if there was any Demonic Energy nearby to give reason to it. Sort of like how Mamono Dragons can turn into their primal forms.)
The Dragon slowly gets up. She looks at the two others, a hunger still in her eyes, but to a far less worrying degree. She got into a more comfortable position and wondered how she was to go about... Defusing, the situation.
(We'll just say it has enough Demon Energy stored up to turn into a human form before it arrived into this new world.)
The man would have his hand on his katana. He was thinking over how he got here... The last thing he remembered was being tied up and beaten with a lead pipe than darkness... Did they not beat him to death? Did they just dump him here? "Hey... Soldier guy, what's the last thing you remember before now?"
"What? Uh," This question had caught him off guard. It was something he hadn't really thought about, since he was only worried about now. Though, he could recall carrying somebody on his shoulders. Didn't exactly know who. Something he could recall exactly, though, was the loud bang followed by a blinding light... Then now. Of course, being in a high stress situation like thise, it was quite hard to think. "I was carrying somebody, then there was a loud bang followed by a light... A blinding light." He explained, keeping his eyes and more importantly, gun on the Dragon in front of them.
The man was silent. It was obvious he didn't want to take his eyes off of her in case she tries to pull a fast one. Luckily, as she looked around for a place to transform in private the group came to a realization that they weren't in any regular forest.
The trees looked to be around 80 meters tall, enormous trunks, large branches and would be a perfect spot to go behind and transform.
The man would also reach down and pick up the rolled up piece of paper.
The soldier started taking deep breaths. He needed to calm down. This was what he trained for. Well, not exactly this, but... Anyway. Checking himself, he noticed no wounds. That was good, he told himself, before realizing the trees. The enormous trees. "This ain't right," He thought, though, at this point this was not new information.
Kneeling down beside his rifle, he picked up the two parts. "How the he-" Then something dawned on him. Quickly, he grabbed the radio attached on his chest near his shoulder. "Hello? Is anybody there?" He questioned, waiting, hoping, for a response. Though he was only met with static...
What emerged from behind the tree was a human woman. Of course, if a human woman had purplish-black scales nearly up to the shoulder. She also had similarly colored wings and legs. Her hair was a wild mane of blond.
She looked at her companions. "Is this more... Acceptable?"
Letting out an annoyed grunt, the soldier shook his head before laying out his supplies before him. It seemed he did not have much, however, upon pulling out a small pack with the letters: 'M.R.E' imprinted on the front, he let out a loud sigh of relief.
Then, noticing the "woman", his sidearm was once again raised and pointed directly at her. To him, she was still abnormal. Well, everything about this was abnormal.
The soldier's face was a good example of shock. "Dead?" He questioned himself, "There's no way, that... That can't be." Like most would, he wasn't going to accept that fact to easily. "No, we... We can't have died." He stated, lowering his gun.
"Then you explain what that loud bang and flash was that happened with you. She says she was impaled with pikes but I don't see any holes in her and I remember being beaten to death with a lead pipe but I have absolutely zero bruises or broken bones. It's the only logical conclusion I can come up with... Though it still sounds unlogical... Though, I'm more concerned about where we are... Doesn't look like any place in Japan..."
"Before we start moving, we should probably get introductions out of the way before anything else. My name is Ryu Hikaru. I come from Japan and I'm a Yakuza member, specifically apart of the Hiroshi clan." He then gave a bow.
"No, but it appears this... City? Is divided up by three walls. Says here the outermost wall is named Maria, second innermost is named Rose, and the last wall is named Sheena... And it also looks like they have much smaller cities in each cardinal direction outwards and attached to each wall except Maria which only has one city... The city this map wants us to head to. It's called the Shiganshina District.
From the looks of it, one of the houses has something we apparently will want... Whatever that is is not said anywhere on this map though."
"Yeah, I did. It hurt like a bi-" Owen then cut himself off, possibly to think. "It hurt," He said before turning to face the two. "If we are linked," He started, "I don't see anything that would warrent us being linked. Well, besides... Besides dying." He stated before looking away again, still coping with his apparent death.
"Well let's see here. We have what I believe is a mythical Dragon or what I believe she is, a Yakuza member, and a soldier. So your right about all of us having little in common... Maybe it was just by random choice." He suggested.
"But what I do know is, if we all experienced the same pain, what else will we share about each other? Say if Owen gets a cut, does that mean we also feel the cut? Going more drastic, say if you lose an arm, what does that mean for us? Say if... One of us dies?" He said.
"..." Owen thought about Ryu said. Pulling out his blade, he opened the palm of his free hand and proceeded to put a small cut in it. Gasping sharply, he quickly put away his blade and closed his hand into a fist.Looking at the two, he waited for a reaction of somekind. "Please, no." He thought.
Ryu would clenched his fist and opened it, looked at his palm and a red mark appeared. He'd showed Levitas and Owen. Levitas would have also experienced the cut and had a red mark on her hand. Ryu then turned around and started walking.
Owen picked up the two halves of his rifle, placing them into his pack before following his group. Staying at the back was something he'd rather be, since they couldn't pull something on him without his seeing first.
"What happens if one of us dies..." He pondered on this thought while they walked. It seemed to almost haunt him.
"Agreed..." Ryu said as they continued to travel. When the sun started setting they'd find something in the middle of the path. An extremely large footprint. It looked to be human but the size was as big as a human torso.
"Agreed. If it's settled than we should just stop here. Not really any better place to make camp..." He said, stopping on the trail, stretching, and lying down on the trail. Luckily for Owen, the moon was out to shine some moonlight.
As they traveled, some hours would go by until they finally saw something in the distance. A wall. Though they were still hour's away, that just showed how large the walls were. "Finally!" Ryu exclaimed... And turned to Levitas.
"Might want to turn into your human form. I'd rather not risk the chance of missing of eating."
After finishing transforming, they'd continue on. As they got closer it would seem that the walls were an astonishing 50 meters tall and looked to go on for thousands of miles. "How the hell did they even make these walls?"
(I will be providing visuals to important objects, characters, and places and give you a better understanding of what they look like. Try not to dig or dig too deeply into the stuff I link if you want some stuff to be a surprise.)
As they went around the wall they could see a giant hole. It was about 15 meters tall and gave a good look into how thick the walls were. About 1 meter or so thick. And it looked like somehow it was breached...
"Damn..." Ryu said as he caught sight of the hole. "Guess that's where we need to enter." He said as they approached and were able to look inside into the city.
"Sure as hell doesn't look like this place is advanced."
