It's been a long time since I spoke with you. I manage to play the "Ask a Mamono" game before it became locked. Since the original game has reach it's comment limit, I decided to create another round of the game today. If you want to join, you may come at your own time. I place the link at the very bottom of this message.
Happy New Year to you old lizard, and to all your waifus. Wish you many more eons of chaos, mischief and pervertedness. Of course best of wishes to the rest of our merry band, 'team OP'. May health, happiness and wealth accompany your Earhtly walk this year.
Nothing in plan, since people left I had to put the RP on hold, I'll either scrap it or reteilor it to fit. I'm in a creative void, a step from a creative null. I'd like to do worldbuilding for my stuff, but I cant make it work 'on paper'. Even now, I'm thinking about a cool shit which I'll force myself to write, or I'l forget for sure so you be the judge if it's any good.
I was pondering about the law enforcement structure of Emmeria, thinking of the various badass Hellhounds, Ogres, Human Hero class and stuff and then I had a vision of this rather cute Elf girl, short and petite in Riot Control. Then a flashback of her wearing riot gear, blonde hair flowing from the helmet extends her hands towards a large group of Sabbath protesters and bolts of lightning hit them making them all unconcious. She cand harness the powers of Emmeria the land, can use it's energy, being an Elf and can hit various opponents, each with only necessary to neutralize non lethally. There's a lot of room of polishing, thios is just a thought I had.
So I asked your opinion of Shin Godzilla, but I never asked how you feel about this new Godzilla series from Hollywood. I just watched a trailer for Godzilla 2, which showed some footage of Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah.
Honestly they're doing a really good job with it. In a lot of ways they're outperforming Toho. All of the kaiju are nearly godlike in nature and Ghidorah is looking to be pretty accurate to what he should be. I'm hoping he survives this movie.
It would make sense if he did. The ancient cave drawing depicted Godzilla and Ghidorah clashing, so we know this isn’t the first time they’ll have fought. But if they’re going to stay accurate to the old movies, Ghidorah has a 50/50 chance of getting killed off, as some old movies have Godzilla kill him or Ghidorah retreat.
I’m just hoping that this next movie doesn’t focus on the humans 95% of the time and if they have to, please let the moments with monsters be outstanding. That way I can justify sitting through mundane characters.
The last movie was annoying for that reason but I’d be lying if I said “Godzilla didn’t make up for that.” No that bastard was big, mean and green. He stole that movie away every time he popped up.
Definitely. But going back to what you said earlier, I also noticed the power scale getting jacked up. Ghidorah’s powers seem to be a massive threat in this next movie. That scene of the dark cloud wall with the electricity generating from it. That was very intimidating and cool tease at what Ghidorah is possibly capable of.
Not really. Ghidorah is usually a global threat. The rebirth of mothra trilogy said that his species straight up eats the life force of planets. Which is why the dinosaurs went extinct and why mars has no life at all.
Grand King Ghidorah who killed off the dinosaurs before being chased off by a primitive iteration of Mothra before coming 65 million years later to finish the job. That guy was so strong that even in his Rainbow form Mothra Leo couldn't beat him and so he had to break the light speed barrier, go back to the cretaceous and beat the shit of Grand King Ghidorah in his younger form to weaken the elder form enough for Mothra Leo to win in his Armor and Eternal forms.
Of course being violent and arrogant predators who hunt planets, it's commonly assumed that the Ghidorah species is exceedingly rare and territorial to the point that they are more likely to kill each other upon meeting than mate.
The big thing is the continuity issues. Most Godzilla movies simply are not within the same universe. So a lot of what I just said, doesn't apply. Kaiser Ghidorah is in a completely seperate series from the other three, one that doesn't have any other Ghidorah show up.
Death Ghidorah amd Grand King Ghidorah are both from the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy and whether or not King Ghidorah can be counted as part of that continuity and whether or not that trilogy can be considered to be part of the Heisei Era of Godzilla movies (Big G does not make an appearance in those three) is debatable.
That's not even touching on the King Ghidorah from GMK who is actually the hero and is hinted at being Yamata No Orochi.
The movie is Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monster All Out Attack.
Most call it GMK because dear God(zilla) that's a long damn title. GMK is it's own seperate continuity and is a direct sequel to the original Godzilla, (and kinda sorta the 1998 failure due to a reference). In it Godzilla is either possessed by the souls of every person who died in the Pacific Theatre of WW2 or he's the physical manifestation of said souls. Given that Japan was the invader in that side of the war, a lot of blood was on their hands and Godzilla being driven/the embodiment of the rage and hatred of everyone who died in said war, his primary goal was to destroy Japan. Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Baragon (poor bastard couldn't even get his name in the title...) were guardian beasts from ancient Japan who rose up to fight Godzilla. King Ghidorah having specifically been said to have had originally had 8 heads, but had all of them chopped off in a previous battle and was healing from that even after thousands of years.
Despite the flip flop on heroic/villainous rolls, it actually brought the "God of War and Destruction" aspect of Godzilla out better than nearly every movie. The way he went out of his way to crush his foes under heel (literally. Poor poor baragon...) was an art in and 9f itself. He even took on Mothra and King Ghidorah at the same time in it. I don't really like how they used all of the characters in the story, but Godzillas portrayal in it was awesome nonetheless.
And even when Ghidorah is the hero fighting a villainous Godzilla... Godzilla stille wins.
I agree Rep. King Caesar had awesome design that was mostly Japanese related and would stick out like a sore thumb in comparison to the redesigns we’ll see with Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah. But I can’t deny how much I loved that monster and would love to see a resurgence of it. Spiga would be cool too. But we already got a giant spider in the King Kong flick.
True. Though I would leave King Caesar with his guardian lion/fu dog look. That part is fine just show him coming from Japan/China and say that he inspired a bit of myth. It's that he's a bit too human. The kinda sorta kung fu that he does. I'd make him omni-pedal, bulk him up a bit. Just make him more beastly.
And no one said that you could obly have one spider. Especially since that Bamboo spider didn't really do much.
I have thought recently about my character, and maybe was need of a change of form, and taking into account that RK is a male monster who, by some reason isn't turned into 'half-succubus', thought that maybe you could help me.
I should keep my character Demian as the 'chimera/manticore' thing that is now, with no form of give him a good picture, or just put him into an only draconic form keeping some of the traits that have (as the powers of the Arch-imp, Baphomet and Living Doll)?
The body I thought could be as this (which is a recolor of this )
And if you asks why he doesn't turns into 'half-succubus', he still has that special stone on his chest. Seems to make him immune to the 'effeminacy' effects of the DE.
Well the RK isn't affected by monsterization because as it is defined i MGE he isn't a "monster" despite being a monstrous entity. He is a being that is equal to (or stronger than) and seperate from the DL or CG and is far older than potentially even the first DL and CG. Within the fan lore that I created he is but one of many "Great Beast Kings" who are in a position like this some being older than even the RK.
He even has his own seperate "Reptilian Energy" that is a reflection of his being and under his dominion in the same way the Demonic Energy is to the Demon Lord.
So he isn't a mamono for the same reason the Chief God and her followers aren't mamono.
As for this guy, you could provide any number of reasons as to why he isn't a mamono. He could be from another universe and thus simply doesn't fall under the DLs rule. He could be a being like the RK who is just a seperate faction in and of himself (though I recommend you don't do that as that is overpowered and makes any stories involving this character a moot point). From the way you're looking at it, I would suggest that he remain male because on the magical/spiritual level, he's the equivalent to an animal or human man, just more. That way he can basically become an incubus if you're dead set on him using DE.
Since I changed my profile to a goliath does that mean I have to listen you now? (Yes I know I asked on the "Things you didn't think you would say" but I figured this would be a better place to ask. Sorry if I'm bothering you.)
